This is a delightful picture book for young children that allows them to name their feelings. The reader follows Marion as he experiences different emotions as he goes to school on his first day, and the reader is asked to guess how he feels on each page.
Through the course of the day, we see Marion as he wakes, goes to school, is stunned to see his classroom, and does some art. Allow the way Miss Kaye describes how he looks, assisted, of course, by the colourful illustrations by Miss Waitthk, and after asking the reader to guess how he feels, the author explains his mood.
Author Miss Kaye has had challenges in her life as a neurodivergent, and she wanted to write a book to help children better understand how people feel by understanding their expressions and physical cues.
Guess How Marion Feels is a wonderful resource that will help children in their social interaction with others, and it is a fun and entertaining story—recommended for all young children!
